a new generation of software and efficient database tools
GOSHA
Software
GOSHA programs (versions 2.0 through 5.0) share a common platform, and have been developed to operate under Windows 95 or Windows NT. The software is a type of relational database with pre-defined links that provide for the automatic update techniques. It is aimed to become an efficient tool for collecting, processing, and printing bibliographic data, texts in different languages, notes, articles, pictures, movie clips, etc. In fact, the software may become a powerful data manager and an efficient tool for electronic publication. It provides for the automatic inputting of data, automatically producing indexes and vocabularies. Friendly interface makes the software easy to operate even by an inexperienced user. Special versions that provide for the electronic publication of data, as well as Intranet versions, are available on demand.
The user can define the custom sort order (independent of standard sort and collation tables) and the direction of the carriage movement for two different font sets. The user can apply the right-to-left or left-to-right sort order to any of the two font sets, defined by the user for the purposes of collecting the main bulk of data.
The most important are four catalogues: Authors (may include all kinds of personal data such as address, e-mail, etc.), Publications (may also describe and contain unpublished material), Articles, Texts. The catalogue of texts and the tools to automatically produce vocabularies are the features of version 3.0 and higher. The are a number of catalogues that supply data to the above catalogues of authors, publications, articles, and texts. They include the catalogues of institutions (with a sub-catalogue of departments), publishers, etc.
